Adam Katz
Co-Founder, CIO
Adam was previously an Associate Portfolio Manager at Elliott Management where he focused on special situations including public equity activism, private equity, and distressed credit. Adam has extensive experience with multiple $1 billion+ public equity activist engagements. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a JD from Harvard Law School. Adam graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with an AB in Government Magna Cum Laude with High Honors in Field.
Andy Dodge
Co-Founder, Director of Research
Andy previously served as an Investment Partner at Indaba Capital Management where he focused on special situations and event driven equities. Andy joined Indaba at launch as an analyst and was promoted to partner after three years. He spent a total of 10 years at the firm. Prior to Indaba, Andy was an associate at Sageview Capital and an analyst at Bain Capital Credit. He graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with an AB in Economics.
Josh Brodman
CFO/CCO
Josh previously served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer of Hunter Capital Limited Partnership. Prior to joining Hunter, Josh was Head of Operations at Venor Capital Management LP and an Assistant Operations Manager at Owl Creek Asset Management, LP. Earlier in his career, he was an Operations Associate at Old Lane, LP, a Loan Associate at Fortress Investment Group, and a Middle Office Operations Associate at Amaranth Advisors, LLC. Josh served as a Campaign Director of Portfolios with Purpose, and as a Financial Committee member of ELEM. Josh graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s in Economics.
Jeff Shookus
Director of Investor Relations
Jeff spent the previous 15 years at UBS where he led the Global Capital Introductions team. Prior to joining UBS, Jeff was an Investment Analyst at Leavitt Capital Management, a Chicago area multi-family office. Earlier in his career he worked as an Associate Trader at Fleet Specialist, Inc. Jeff graduated from Villanova University with a BS in Economics and Finance, and an MBA from the University of Arizona.
Josh Nadell
Senior Advisor
Josh joined Irenic at inception and served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer until November 2023. He is now a Senior Advisor, focused on talent development and strategy. Prior to Irenic, Josh was the Chief Financial Officer of Elliott Management before departing in 2019 after 25 years at the firm. He began his professional career as a CPA at Spicer & Oppenheim, then spent two years at Goldman Sachs in the Controllers department before joining Elliott. Josh graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics.
